The Gladwin County 4-H program is pleased to announce a six-week program called “Learn, Grow, Eat and Go.” The program will be on Thursdays, May 26, 2016 through June 30, 2016. The program is for all youth ages 8-11 (as of Jan. 1, 2016.)
The program will provide youth an opportunity to learn about plants, why they are important, how they grow, and how to grow them and is a hands-on innovative 4-H gardening series for youth to learn and engage their peers, families and community. Youth will participate in classroom activities as well as plant and maintain their own garden located at the Beaverton Activity Center. The purpose is to improve learning (science, math, and language arts) and healthy behaviors through classroom and family focused garden, nutrition, and physical activities.
