Date: June 16, 2015
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: 3148 Harvey Rd., Capac, MI 48014
Cameron Lauwers will be hosting a tour of their family farming operation. He is a young shepherd with a highly productive flock with a high health status. In addition to a tour of the Lauwers farm, Richard Ehrhardt (MSU Extension specialist for small runimants) will be speaking about “Forage feeding programs for the ewe flock.” We will discuss managing sheep in a confinement system, setting up an efficient feeding system, feeding high quality forages to ewes on an accelerated lambing system, and more insights on getting started. The program is free; please RSVP by calling or emailing MSU Extension at 810-667-0341 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
