Beginning farmers need business skills as well as production skills. Understanding what kind of records are important for tax management, dealing with lenders, determining financial progress and health are key to farm business success. This applies to all types and sizes of farms. The goal of this online program is to provide information and insights to help you set up a recordkeeping system that will work for your operation.

This two-hour Adobe Connect webinar is part of the ongoing “2014 Beginning Farmer Webinar Series.”  MSU Extension educator Mark Thomas will present information on practical approaches to farm business recordkeeping that will help you reach your business goals. Questions and discussion will take place through the webinar ‘chat’ function.
