Firewise on the Farm Presentation

As part of the fall series of community education workshops offered at North Central Michigan College, Jed Jaworski will be the featured presenter on Wednesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in the college library conference center. Mr. Jaworski will focus on some of the unique wildfire risks and hazards present in agricultural settings and offer steps that farmers can take to lessen their vulnerability to wildfire. Those who grow grapes may find his information about effects of smoke taint on vineyards of special interest. The session is free and no registration is required. Mr. Jaworski will have free handouts available for those who wish to learn more about being Firewise on Farm. Non-farm rural residents are also welcome to attend and learn how to reduce the wildfire risk for their home and property.
