From July through September the Lenawee Conservation District will be hosting several “Fields to the Great Lakes” events. Registration is free to Farmers, Landowners of farmed land and Partners of Agriculture who farm in the Western Lake Erie Watershed Basin. Note Charter Bus transportation and snacks are available for all events. The purpose of the events is to provide a platform for farmers to share information about conservation practices and programs that protect our water resources.

The Western Lake Erie Basin MAEAP and Conservation Practices Conferences in the Lake Erie Islands provide an in-depth look at the science behind the harmful algae blooms. Includes a tour of the water quality lab, aquatic resources center and a cruise where you can help throw a trawl net while on a science bio lab vessel.
