Dining with Diabetes

Dining with Diabetes is a five-session workshop designed for people at risk for diabetes or who have diabetes as well as their family members. Through this class you will learn: the causes of diabetes, tools for managing diabetes, how to prepare healthy meals using less fat, how to make meals using less sodium and sugar without reducing flavor and enjoyment, and the importance of diet and exercise in managing diabetes. You will also have the opportunity to sample a variety of healthy foods and take home recipes so that you can make them yourself.

When: Four Thursdays, August 11 through September 1, 2016. A fifth follow-up session will be held on Thursday, November 3.

Time: Noon - 1 p.m.

Where: Community Room in the East End Health Center, Room 1A203, Dow Chemical, Midland

Cost: $50 per person

This class is open to Dow Chemical employees only.
