Dining with Diabetes is a five-session course designed for people at risk of diabetes or who have diabetes, as well as their family members. You will learn how to prepare healthy meals using less fat and how to make meals using less sodium and sugar without reducing flavor. The program will provide you with the tools for managing diabetes and show you the importance of diet and exercise in managing diabetes. You will have the opportunity to sample a variety of healthy foods and take home recipes so that you can make them yourself. Class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays on October 20, 23, 27 & 30. Cost is $30 per person (for all five sessions) or $50 per couple sharing a notebook. Scholarships are available upon request.
