Cooking Matters at the Store

No doubt you know that eating healthy is important for you and your family. But you may be surprised at how easy and affordable it can be. What if you could stretch your budget and eat a great tasting, healthy foods every day of the week? That is what Cooking Matters at the Store is all about. This hands-on tour will help you make the most of what you've got, so that your family gets the best nutrition they can. Enrollment is limited to 15 participants per tour. Class series and presentations are taught throughout the community, including but not limited to community centers, churches, schools and local MSU Extension offices.
Group series are available if there are 6 to 15 people, and at least half of the group is Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligible. To learn more about SNAP visit http://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-snap. Due to the upcoming winter months, please use caution when traveling to classes. If the Midland Public School district is closed, MSU Extension classes will be canceled and made up at a later date.
