The Grower Assisted Inspection Program helps you put a system in place to help protect your nursery operation from foreign invasive species and all sorts of other pests.
- The program gives you evidence that you are exercising due diligence in preventing the movement of quarantine and regulated pests such as gypsy moth or Japanese beetle.
- Implementation of a pest management plan can result in a trace-back and trace-forward system, which will be critical in the event of a quarantine or a regulated pest is discovered in your area or at your place of business.
- Provides a Marketing Advantage.....Systems approach programs are rapidly becoming standard requirements throughout the US and Canada for nursery stock. Production under a systems approach will give growers an advantage in the market-place when selling to firms that insist upon quality standards for reselling of product in interstate and international markets.
