Conflict of Interest, Incompatible Office, and Ethics

This program is about Conflict of Interest, Incompatible Office, and Ethics in planning and zoning in Michigan. The program is designed for city, village, township, and county officials who are serving as planning commission members, appeals board members, zoning administrators, and planners, as well as interested public.
The program will be presented by Kurt H. Schindler, AICP, Land Use Educator with Michigan State University Extension.
The program will cover laws relating to conflict of interest, incompatible office, standards of conduct for public officials, local rules of procedure or bylaws, and general ethics principles.
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Pre-registration is required. Pre-register at this web site. Cost is $50 per person which covers workshop materials and refreshments. The price goes up for late registrations. Registration on or after June 15, 2012 will be $70 per person.
