The Beechwood Historical Society is hosting a spring garden seminar.

  • 12 - 1 p.m. Susan Trull, Forest Botanist - Ottawa National Forest will present Native Alternative Plants in the Garden; Invasive Species that can escape from the garden.
  • 1 - 2 p.m., Rebecca Krans, MSU Extension - Consumer Horticulture Educator, will present Composting:  A smart gardening practice to recycle garden and yard waste.
  • 2 - 2:15 p.m., there will be a break with refreshments.  
  • 2:15 - 3:15 p.m., Sharon Chick, UW-Extension Master Gardener, will present Ornamental Grasses and Perennials - what works in our area and how to care for them.
