This is the spring gathering of the MSU Community and Natural Resources Development Association (CNRDA). A professional development and networking experience for members and non-members who want to find out more about CNRDA.

Join your colleagues at the MSU Detroit Center on Woodward Avenue starting at 5 p.m. for dinner and presentations by Jena Baker-Calloway and David Goldstein. Jena, Center Director, will talk about the MSU Detroit Center and some of its initiatives in Detroit relating to natural resources and community development. David Goldstein is a Detroit National Parks fellow located in the MSU Detroit Center who will share his stewardship and engagement work locally and nationally with NPS, including how NPS is engaging audiences in urban areas on the value of cultural spaces and the importance of conserving them.

Following our time at the Detroit Center we will engage in ‘tactical placemaking’ through fowling: a hands on experience in Hamtramck. Learn how Fowling, a hybrid game that combines the equipment of American Football and Bowling into one sport with a similar layout as horseshoes and cornhole, is being used to bring life to city streets and adaptive re-use in buildings.

On the event registration page, please indicate if you are willing to drive a group from the GMI retreat hotel (Roberts Riverwalk Hotel) to the Detroit Center and back later in the evening.
