Calf Care School - Dorr
Date: April 12, 2012
Location: Salem Township Hall 3003 142nd Ave. Dorr, Mich.
The mere survival of a calf is by no means a good indicator of a
successful calf management program. A heifer calf should be raised to
her maximum potential so that she can make a maximal contribution to
your farm’s profitability as a lactating cow. The
profitability of your cows will depend on proper management of them as heifers.
Calf Care School is a one-day school jam-packed with useful information and training that can be implemented on any dairy farm. Participants will learn and/or review concepts and skills associated with profitable calf management from the birth canal to the transition period.
