Breakfast on the Farm gives consumers and farm neighbors a first-hand look at modern food production, and the farm families who work hard to produce a safe, wholesome food supply for Michigan communities and the world. Enjoy a free breakfast and learn about the food you eat at Breakfast on the Farm, a program of Michigan State University Extension. Tickets are required for the breakfast but not for the tour. Ticket locations are listed on the website at www.breakfastonthefarm.com. The tour is a self-guided walking tour with many educational stations located around the farm. At Humm Farm you will learn how large equipment comes in handy for growing and harvesting corn, soybeans and wheat. The public will be able to see how this sixth generation farm uses conservation practices when growing their crops as well as the science behind a successful yield. Breakfast on the Farm begins at 9 a.m. with breakfast served until noon.
