Birth Management Clinic for Sheep and Goats

Are you interested in learning how to improve birth management of your herd or flock?  If so, sign up for this fun and highly informative clinic!

Participants will learn preventative management approaches and assessment skills as well as treatment procedures through both discussion and hands-on activities from Dr. Richard Ehrhardt, MSU small ruminant specialist.  Both novice and veteran producers alike will find this program valuable.

Topics covered include: nutritional management, use of ultrasound, facility design, newborn care, hypothermia treatment, grafting, vaccination protocols, mortality diagnoses, health and feeding assessment.

February 6, 2016: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Onondaga Town Hall, 4756 Baldwin Rd., Onondaga, MI 49261 and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 6280 Kinneville Rd., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827 (these locations approx. 3 miles apart)

Enrollment is limited to 30 persons (there is only one session this year unlike previous years).  Please complete your registration by Feb. 1.  Registration includes birth management manual, treatment poster, lunch and light refreshments.  $45/person (additional members of the same family may attend for $20 each-only one manual and poster per family).  Register at URL listed below and click on the MSU Extension link.
