The goal of Alternatives to Angers is to help young people, parents and caregivers foster health relationships so they can live, learn and grow in a safe, affirming and fair environment free from violence, abuse, bullying and harassment. Youth, parents and caregivers will learn to better manage their anger and stress at home and in the workplace. Participants will learn: how to RECOGNIZE when people are angry, what triggers that anger, how to EMPATHIZE with another's person point of view, learn to be a better LISTENER, learn ACCEPTANCE to deal with challenging behaviors by developing problem-solving skills, and learn to X-OUT the past and focus on the present.
This class is for parents, childcare providers and any adult who wants to better manage their anger and stress at home or workplace. Teens may attend with an adult. The cost is $20 per person or couple for all four sessions. Sessions will meet Aug. 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 31st. No session Aug. 24th.
