             *Normal Registration Amount:  $120 (June 15 - July 15)

*Registration does not include the following

  • $10 4-H Member Registration (if not a 4-H member in 2015)
  • Lunch is not provided
  • There is a $8 dollar daily park entry pass for Indian Springs Metropark (not included).
  • A $35 annual pass can be purchased that is valid at all Huron-Clinton Metroparks
    (DELHI METROPARK, DEXTER-HURON METROPARK, HUDSON MILLS METROPARK, HURON MEADOWS METROPARK, INDIAN SPRINGS METROPARK, KENSINGTON METROPARK, LAKE ERIE METROPARK, LOWER HURON METROPARK, METRO BEACH METROPARK, OAKWOODS METROPARK, STONY CREEK METROPARK, WILLOW METROPARK, WOLCOTT MILL METROPARK)

What is new for 2016?

The Eco-Challenge is a 5-day experience where youth are exposed to Water-based Eco-Systems and built underwater ROV’s to explore the depths of the fresh water pond at Indian Springs. 

Participants build an ROV from a kit comprised of low-cost, easily accessible parts, following a curriculum that teaches basic engineering and science concepts with a marine engineering theme.


Youth participants will get Hands-On opportunities with 

  • Remote Operated Submarines 
  • Building ROV’s
  • GPS Units and GIS Software
  • Data Loggers
  • Microscopes
  • Invasive species identification 
  • Nature walks, talks and more….
