4-H Equine Educational Expo

The 4-H Equine Educational Expo has been designed to reach the interests of young people throughout  the state. We hope the program will attract all youth, including those who have horseless 4-H projects. The 4-H Equine Educational Expo offers activities to meet the needs and interests of all young people interested in the 4-H horse program.

Members who qualify for the 4-H Equine Educational Expo will be able to compete in only one of the following three contests: Horse Bowl, Horse Judging, or Hippology.  Any  4-H Equine Educational Expo participant may compete in the Equine Communications contest.

Special Awards Offered at the 4-H Equine Educational Expo:

The Norma Agnew Memorial Scholarship for 4-H Horse Judging is awarded to the 1st place Senior High Individual ($250.00) and the 2nd place Senior High Individual ($150.00).  The Norma Agnew Memorial 4-H Horse Judging Award is awarded to the high scoring Junior Individual Horse Judging participant.

The top two teams (and individuals in Communications Contests) (top three in Horse Bowl and Hippology) in all events will have the opportunity to travel to national 4-H contests including Eastern Nationals 4-H Horse Roundup, All American Quarter Horse Congress, and Arabian & half Arabian US Nationals (Horse Judging).    Please see the 2013 4-H  Equine Educational Expo Handbook for specific event information.
