33rd Oceana County Folk Festival

The Oceana County 4-H Youth Programs will host the 33rd Annual Oceana County Folk Festival on Thursday, April 30 at the Oceana County Fairgrounds in Hart, MI. This event allows area youth to explore American and Ethnic traditions, folklore and skills while fostering an appreciation for our local heritage. This hands on day allows children to reflect on the past, recognize the resources available to them today, and dream up new ideas for the future. Youth will see everything from an original teepee, sample “road kill stew”, and visit the petting zoo. The Oceana County historical society will show how to grind corn and make corn bread, youth with be learn how to shake milk to make butter and so much more. There are indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting).  This event is free to the public.
