2015 Upper Peninsula 4-H Camps

Date: July 8, 2015 - July 24, 2015
Location: Camp Molinare
Contact: Meredith Imler, 906-774-0363, imlermer@anr.msu.edu.

4-H camp takes place at Camp Molinare located on beautiful Sawyer Lake, nestled in a hilly forest. There is a field where campers go to play games and team sports. Sawyer Lake also offers a scenic backdrop for canoers and kayakers, as well as a beach for swimming.

4-H camp offers a chance for each camper to make new friendships and learn new skills. Every activity is well supervised and well planned. There is a full-time nurse on staff, keeping close check on the health needs of all the campers.

Campers are directed and supervised at all times by adult counselors who are assisted by teen junior counselors. Exploring and learning about the great outdoors are an important part of this program, with an emphasis on respecting each other and our environment. Building a healthier body, mind and spirit for campers is key in programming.

Activities include: canoeing, kayaking, swimming, outdoor field sport recreation, water and land challenges, arts and crafts, nature walks, astronomy, campfires, singing, drama skits, guest speakers, and much more!

Dining Hall
Well balanced, tasty meals and snacks are prepared and served buffet style by our fabulous cooks. U.P. 4-H Camp participates in the USDA Summer Food Program.

Living Groups
The dorms are well constructed and comfortable. The boys’ dorm is separated from the girls’ dorm by the dining hall. Counselors are intermingled with the youth so they are available if the campers need anything at any time.
