4-H Online enrollment process guide

Open Enrollment Deadline (for 2017 - 2018 4-H club year):  Re-enrollment deadline in 4-H Online for returning 4-H club members is January 1, 2018.  Enrollment deadline of youth new to 4-H will be accepted through June 1, 2018.

Annual Financial Report Forms Deadline:  December 1, 2017

Participation Fee Increase (for 2017 - 2018 4-H club year):  

As of September 1, 2017, the Michigan 4-H participation fee will be $20 per youth OR $60 per family per year, whichever is lowest.  Families with 3 or more children in 4-H will not pay over $60 in annual participation fees.

2018 4-H Tractor Operator 

Michigan State University Extension offers the Tractor Operator Program (TOP) through the 4-H Youth Development Program.  Successful completion of the 4-H TOP provides completion certificates to 13 - 19-year-olds.

Who:  Youth 13 - 19 years of age
(currently, youth must be 14 by the day of the driving test to be eligible to receive federal certificate)

Cost:  $ 50.00 per person

When:  The 9-week course is taught on Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., January 18 - March 22, 2018 (March 22 is held as a make-up date if needed).  Schedule includes educational sessions, some driving practice, final written and driving tests, and graduation program.  Study and practice time is also required outside of session time to complete the 24-hours of certification training.

Where:  The program will meet at the Old Baroda Township Hall, 9091 First St., Baroda, MI  49101

Registration:  Contact the Berrien County MSUE Office, 1737 Hillandale Road, Benton Harbor, MI  49022-9630; phone: 269-927-5674; or email Deb Barrett at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).  A minimum of six participants are required to offer the class, maximum of 20.  Participants must register and have their $50.00 fee paid by 5:00 p.m., January 11, 2018.  Checks are to be made out to Michigan State University.
